Smoked Garlic

Todays tip of the day on this Meatless Monday will help get tons of flavor into all of our favorite meatless dishes. For many families meat free night is not the most popular night of the week, but by adding tons of flavor to what we're serving I guarantee that will change. Meat provides a savory complex flavor to many dishes, but this can easily be achieved by using awesome spices. Over the weekend I was lucky enough to find smoked garlic powder at my farmers market. It has an extremely deep smoky smell and flavor similar to what you would have when you eat BBQ. It adds that slow cooked  meaty flavor to  meat free dishes with just one ingredient. It is VERY strong, I normally douse my food in garlic powder, but with this for a whole dish I didn't use over 1 tsp! If you get a chance to check Weezy's Garlic out please do. They do not disappoint. I'm hoping they will teach me how to smoke garlic at home. Not sure if you do the whole cloves, or paste it first!
